My name is Antonella Caporello – but I prefer just Tony  – and in my blog you will find a treasure of easy, pleasing, and nutritious recipes that reflect my belief in wholesome, organic ingredients, my passion for cooking, and my Italian heritage.

I was born and lived in Italy for the first thirty-nine years of my life. In 1997 I moved to California and, after a few years in the lively but overcrowded Silicon Valley, I moved to Groveland, a quaint village in the beautiful Sierra Nevada foothills, near Yosemite National Park. In 2016 I moved to Bend, Oregon, mainly because the quality of life here is still more authentic and genuine.

My interests range from gardening to hiking, from knitting to cross-stitching, from writing to flying airplanes, and of course cooking and sharing my culinary creations with family, friends and anybody interested in improving their eating habits.

My culinary background comes only from my personal experience and my curiosity. I’ve been cooking for forty-five years, I’m not a nutritionist and I can give professional advice only about gardening, as I’m a horticulturist and landscaper by training. As you might have guessed, I’m happier when my hands are messy.
